The Port of Windsor is at the centre of a major recreational boating region. Seventeen Canadian-based marinas operate from Amherstburg near the Lake Erie entrance of the Detroit River through to east of Belle River on the southern shore of Lake St. Clair. Dockage exists for nearly 2000 boats ranging in length from 26' to 100' (7.9m - 30.5m).
